Coaching with care
Coaching isn’t a product. It’s a relationship, one that stretches across miles, quiet months, breakthroughs, voice notes, stuckness, and surprise. I coach because I care deeply about what happens when someone decides to move toward something difficult or sacred, and they don’t have to do it alone.
I believe pricing should reflect that care. Not just protect it. Not just justify it. But make it mutual and sustainable. I share my rates publicly because I believe transparency is a form of trust. You shouldn’t have to fill out a form or chase a discovery call just to know what this might cost. You deserve to enter with clarity. No pressure.
I also believe that coaching, like running, doesn’t move in straight lines. Some months are all fire and forward momentum. Others are quiet or shaky. Pricing shouldn’t penalize you for needing rest. Or for growing slower than expected. Or for disappearing and returning. Life isn’t linear. Coaching shouldn’t be either.
What coaching with me looks like
Coaching with me is not about “fixing” your running. It’s about building a relationship with it and with yourself that can hold ambition, uncertainty, emotion, joy, change and so much more. Sometimes we train hard. Sometimes we pause. Always, we’re in conversation. My practice is rooted in a few key principles:
Legacy matters more than visibility.
– Presence is as important as performance.
– Pricing is a doorway, not a gate.
– Coaching doesn’t need to scale, it needs to deepen.
– Rest and rupture are part of the rhythm.
– Generosity should have a structure.
Coaching offerings
I offer three core ways to work together. You’re welcome to start anywhere.
1-on-1 Coaching: Ongoing relational coaching for runners of all levels. You get custom training plans, check-ins, adaptations, open conversation, a community, someone in your corner. I’m here for the whole arc, your races and your reckonings.
Race-Ready Prep: A one-off deep dive to help you prepare for a race: technically, mentally, logistically. We’ll talk through training, taper, mindset, nutrition, gear, course specifics, and the stories you’re carrying into it.
Trail Identity Session: When you’re feeling lost, stuck, or in transition, this is where we sit with that. A reflective session to explore your relationship with running, body, identity, or motivation. Often surprising. Always held with care. Free of charge.

Relational features
Sliding scale with reciprocity. Can’t afford full price? Reach out. I offer sliding scale spots each season, and invite mutual exchange where possible. That might look like a story, a skill share, or a simple thanks. Dignity moves both ways.
Re-attunement rituals. Every few weeks, we’ll check in not just on your training, but on how our relationship is working. Pricing is “revisitable.” So is rhythm. We can pause and reroute.
Seasonal slow-downs. At times in the year (“off-seasons”), I offer optional slow-down weeks: a chance to pause coaching or reflect together at a lower rhythm. You won’t be charged for what isn’t happening. Rest is part of performance.
Completion pathways. Not everyone stays forever. That’s totally okay. We’ll build in gentle exits: completion sessions, parting words, ways to mark the end with grace, not with guilt.
Acknowledgment of lineage. Much of what I bring into coaching comes from lineages I did not invent: somatics, therapy, mindfulness, my own coaches. I tithe a part of my coaching income to community-rooted care funds as acknowledgment and redistribution.
Designed for emergence. You might not always know what you need. I don’t require goals or metrics to begin. The work and world unfolds, and together, we make space for the unknown.
Modular coaching options. You don’t have to commit to full-time coaching to be supported. One-offs are real coaching. So is coming back after months away. I don’t clinch for retention. My model is designed for re-entry.
Pay-it-forward pool. For clients who choose to contribute extra each month to support others. If you’ve received care you couldn’t pay for before, this is a way to pass it on. If you’re in need, you’re welcome to draw from it.
Asynchronous support built-in. You don’t need to “use your call” to receive care. You can reach out when you need to. A short message. A long call from the trail. A photo. Some months, that’s all you need. Some months, it’s everything.
Living library of care. All active clients get access to a curated library of essays, tools, rituals, and resources I’ve developed, including race planning guides, mindset prompts, seasonal check-ins, and more. No upsells, no hidden tiers.
You belong also when you stop. Some people coach for a season and go. That doesn’t make your time less meaningful. I consider every coaching arc complete in its own way, and you’re welcome to return if life opens space again.
Can’t afford, or not sure if you can afford these rates right now?
Please write anyway. Pricing is a conversation. Not everyone pays the same, and not everyone needs to. I hold seasonal sliding scale spots, community-supported coaching, and mutual aid slots for those navigating financial constraints. You don’t need to prove your worth. If the connection feels right, we’ll find a way.
